Ubuntu Clinic has officially been open for one month!
We are really so lucky to be able to share our vision for decolonial health care with people in our community. This month has definitely come with challenges, including the loss of SNAP benefits for our patients, a cold front that came with a lot of rain, and the continued paramilitary ICE attacks on our patients. All of this negatively affects our patients’ health, and are a part of a larger settler-colonial and capitalist framework that contributes to health disparities on a larger scale. We hope to continue to have a clear vision and purpose toward addressing these health disparities with decolonial and anti-capitalist movements.
We’re deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us—patients, neighbors, colleagues, and friends—who believe that high-quality decolonial healthcare should be accessible to patients from marginalized communities. As always, I encourage everyone to share our fundraiser, and to spread the work about Ubuntu Clinic’s mission!
